Failsafe Brake (Electro Magnetic Disc Barke)are normally in the applied (braking) condition. When electric supply is given, the brake is released and the shaft free to rotate. In case of power failure or cut off, the brake is instantaneously applied thus preventing accidents.

Brake Motor is combination of three phase Squirrel Cage Induction Motor with Electro-Magnetic Disc Brake (A.C.) When power is switched off with ordinary motor, the rotating part will stopped after some time but if brake motor is used rotating mass will stop instantaneously. All Brakes are mounted at non-driving end of motor, braking disc is mounted directly on motor shaft. Brakes are directly acting, no lever or links are required. Liner plate is only wearing part and this is easily replaceable.

Brake Motors are used for various application where instantaneous stopping of the driven load is required. The operation of the brake is “Fail Safe are Normally On. The brake is applied when power to the motor is switched off or power failure occurs.
